If you’ve forgotten your Flowsign password, request a reset link from the sign-in page and choose a new one. The link is emailed to you, lasts an hour and works once.
If your organisation requires single sign-on (SSO), you sign in through your identity provider, not with a Flowsign password. A reset won’t change how you sign in, so choose Continue with SSO on the sign-in page instead. See Signing in.
  1. On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password? below the password field.
  2. The Forgot password? screen asks you to “Enter your email and we’ll send you a link to reset it.” Enter the Email you sign in with.
  3. Choose Send reset link.
A Check your email screen confirms the request: “If an account exists for that address, we’ve sent a link to reset your password.” Back to sign in returns you to the sign-in page. The confirmation looks the same whether or not the address has a Flowsign account, so it can’t be used to find out who has one. No email is sent if the address has no account, if your organisation requires SSO, or if your access has been turned off. If you signed up with Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft, you can use a reset to add a password to your account.

Messages on the request screen

The reset email

The email is titled Reset your password and says “We received a request to reset your Flowsign password.” Choose Reset password in the email to open the reset screen.
  • The link expires in an hour and can only be used once.
  • Requesting another link cancels any earlier link that hasn’t been used, so always use the newest email.
  • If you didn’t ask for a reset, ignore the email. Your password won’t change.

Choose a new password

The link opens the Choose a new password screen.
  1. Enter a New password. It must be at least 8 characters.
  2. Enter it again in Confirm new password.
  3. Choose Reset password.
The eye icon next to New password shows or hides what you’ve typed in both fields. The fields check as you type:
  • “At least 8 characters” if the new password is too short.
  • “Passwords do not match” if the two fields differ.
  • “Confirm your new password” if the second field is empty.

After your password is reset

  • Your new password takes effect straight away.
  • Flowsign signs you out of every other browser and device where you were signed in.
  • You’re signed in and taken to your home page. If Flowsign can’t sign you in automatically, you’re taken to the sign-in page instead: your password has still changed, so sign in with the new one.
If the link has expired, has already been used, or was replaced by a newer one, the reset screen shows Link expired: “That link isn’t valid, or it has expired. Request a new one.” Choose Request a new link to go back to the Forgot password? screen. If the link expires while the reset screen is open, choosing Reset password shows the same message above the button.
